Struggled to find this topic as searching for "Sega Logo" yields many false positive. *EDIT* The Sega Logo floppy dump release happened here: https://www.smspower.org/forums/7716-6YearsAndMoreToCome

Today while browsing the Pitfall II Technique Book (SPC-11, 1985.07) I noticed there is a page describing the Sega Logo software for SF-7000, and in the end-of-booklet catalog, Sega Logo is listed with the B-60 product number (following on SC-3000 Basic Product Numbers).

The end product is D-1004 but it's unclear to me what region they are exactly from. All contents are in English and they are generally found in Australia so there's that.

Coincidentally I've recently been researching PAL SC-3000 releases from old magazine scans. Logo was initially mentioned in both Australia and France as coming out on cartridge, so that must be what the B-60 product code was for. The cartridge release doesn't seem to have occurred though.

The disk version seems to have released in Australia, New Zealand, and I guess France ... it was mentioned at least. I'm not sure what disk software was released in Italy. Not much is known about disk software in minor countries like Finland.

I think Japan probably just got the same English language disk releases as everywhere else. Incidentally, what are the codes for HuCAL and Sega Writer? Sega Base is D-1003

I don't know. I missed a boxed HuCAL on eBay in recent years.

Sega Writer I've got disk and manual, and it came along in a package with a SF-7000 with an early/prototype IPL EPROM, and prototype looking SC-3000 cartridges, so I'm not even technically sure Sega Writer was released (but maybe it was, and I could have missed auctions).

I was actually surprised you knew about Sega Writer, but realized I posted a photo of it on Twitter when I got it (attached). Does it appears elsewhere or is that where you learned about it?

Sega Writer is mentioned in an Australian magazine, but they have some other unreleased stuff (Champion Boxing & Soccer) listed, so I don't think it released in Australia as it would have surely shown up already. Assuming it was a word processor then it would have been competing against John Sands' "Sega Word 3", so maybe they didn't release it for that reason. Sega Word 3 was also available in New Zealand, so it could be the same deal there.

I did find your pictures after searching for more about it. I also came across vonB's post in this thread about an SF-7000 they bought in Finland;

Surprisingly the nine disks that came with SF-7000 all seemed to work. Some are unreadable on the other side but maybe that side is unformatted. Nothing particularly interesting on these though, Sega Disk Basic, Logo, Writer, some basic demos, simple games and programming experiments from 25 years ago.

Which I assumed to be Sega Writer, which would explain it's rarity if only released in Finland or other small markets.

Edit: oh, it would seem that Logo released in Finland too.

I think I recall this auction (I accidentally forgot to bid ^^). Glad you got it. Can't find my saved photos right now but here's the thumbnail.
Photo and products numbers would be nice!

I started adding some entries into a (very primitive) listing:

Some great posts here, so it looks like Sega Writer was released in Finland at least. I wonder what the software standing upright on the right of the auction Bock posted is. Maybe boxed Disk Basic? I thought it only came bundled loose with the SF-7000, but maybe replacements or upgrades to V1.1 were available boxed?

The Finnish retailer list is interesting as it includes Zaxxon and GP World, but I'll post about those in a more appropriate thread.

"Doc eggfan" scanned the manual for HuCAL here.

Here's a review of Pandsoft's "Disk Washer".

Definitely the auction I won ^^
Fun fact, I did buy it primarily... for the sealed Basic III you mention
Wasn't hoping to win the auction as I suspected the other stuff to be uber rare but hey ! Sometimes you get lucky lol

Ah, so just the cartridge Basic, still a very nice item! Pictures of Sega Writer would be great too if you find the time.

I found this note for Sega Word hidden inside a newsletter I bought. It sounds like there's extra content with the disks included in the "Business Pack".

"Business Pack" also mentioned here.

"Business Pack (expense analyser, investment, finance disk only)"

I guess the business pack was a bundle of known disks such as HuCal, Sega Base, and Sega Word plus the disk mentioned above that I haven't seen before. As it was aimed at business it may not have been professionally packaged like their consumer products (for example the instructions for "Cashbook" mentioned in the above post were just a file on the disk).

That's great, thanks. This might be the only one developed by Sega (although not entirely sure about Logo yet.).

D-1001: Sega Writer
D-1002: HuCAL
D-1003: Sega Base
D-1004: Sega Logo

That seems to be all of the boxed first party releases. There was also Sega Disk Basic 1.0 / 1.1 bundled unboxed with the SF-7000.
