I need a BASIC ROM SC-3000H

What would be the cheapest way to get a BASIC ROM for the SEGA YENO SC-3000H?

I have minipro programmer and was looking for a cheap cart that I could use, but all the carts seem quite expensive.

The Basic carts also have RAM in them, so it's a bit more complicated than just flashing a ROM. Maybe some flash carts support the extra RAM, but I'm not sure.

I think I've seen that some multicarts have the basic, but they are expensive.
I was hoping someone was going to say you can open up the machine and just pop a ROM in the socket lol :)

You can program a ROM chip simply enough but the extra RAM that is in the cart is the harder part.

You may be able to do something with a video flipper cart. Its got provision for a second chip of some description, likely an sram chip, along with another chip which is likely to be a logic gate to deal with the address decoding for the RAM. Youd need to trace it out and draw a schematic of it to see if its suitable though. Pictures of the pcb are around on smspower.. google will find them for you if you have trouble.

Thanks for your input.
I've found the PCB pictures on here, but I don't think I could attempt building one without schematics.

Enri's website has the schematic. The IIIB uses DRAM but you could design it to use SRAM instead.

OH WOW! That's handy, Thanks.

I'll let you know how I get on ;)
