[VGM Pack] AX Battler: A Legend of Golden Axe (Game Gear)
Post Posted: Fri Jul 26, 2013 1:43 am
Here you go, folks! A game I've personally wanted to get a rip of.
Nostalgic memories from this one - great music, but the game itself was so dang hard!
Hope everything's in order. All the tunes are there, image, and playlist. Maybe someone can check over the .txt document to see if it's OK?

I loved those new VGM packs. Thanks for release them, MattheRabbit.

But I still waiting for the VGMs of the two GG Tails games. They are the two missing games to close the VGMs for all Sonic games in the SMS/GG family.

Glad you folks like them! It was fun! :D
@rouken - Hopefully someone can get those Tails games for you.

For Death Adder's Castle - I tried to get rid of the moving spike sound as best I could. It still shows a little in the noise channel but hopefully it's not too noticeable. If someone figures out how to remove that sound completely they're free to replace that track with a new recording, but keep in mind that these are version 1.10 VGMs.

Matthe,
Would you like to add them yourself to the Wiki section? We can open you access to edit if you are interested.

@Bock - Sure! If I get stuck I'll give you a shout. Would Maxim need to add the packs to the site first? And it's Mat as in "Mat the Rabbit"; I just didn't capitalise the "t" ;)

Sorry, Mat :)

I have enabled your Wiki editing account - if you look on any page among the existing list and click "Edit" at the top right you can see the template and click "Attach" to see the format of attachment (each pack needs a .png thumbnail along with the package files).

If you using the same name as used in the Games/ page the pages will be automatically linked. Let us know if you can't figure out, Maxim or I will be happy to help. And above all, thanks for the new pack!

There doesn't seem to be an obvious way in the editing page to add the soundtrack section, and I tried uploading the .VGM7z file but it wouldn't let me. Maybe I'm better waiting for Maxim or someone else to do it? Sorry 'bout that.

Added missing track $86 and relogged ending. It looks like the pack author went to alot of trouble to start the ending theme at a certain point and abridged the small intro.

Curious, considering this game had a trigger published on the old page. Easy to assume it was complete. It looks like the pack author went to alot of trouble to get the tracks that are easily logged during the long intro.

I added song values to the comments and updated the author and date to what's more current.

Also made the files frame accurate.

The author is Keisuke Tsukahara, who composed under one of his common aliases.

Now at 1.10

Did Sherpa or anyone else ripping this had the chance to verify if the soundtrack for v1.4 (JP), v2.0 (Proto) and v2.4 are identical or not? Curious about this.
