Hello there !
Finally on holiday. This allowed me to take some time to improve my demo which uses a raster on the palette of our favorite console.
This is the same effect used in Mickey Mania. It must be possible to improve the concept, this demo was programmed in C with SMSdevkit without looking too much for optimization.
The attached rom has been tested without problem on real hardware.
Thank you for your return Calindro I will investigate.
It's strange, I just restarted the ROM everything is fine on your excellent emulicious (with VDP constraints on) and also on my SMS (model 1) in 50hz and 60Hz.

You are setting these tiles to $100 but you never write that tile.
I'm running the rom via an original (old) Everdrive. So I assume it's some left-over tile from the Everdrive menu. In Emulicious, you should also see garbage if you have uninitialized memory set to random (unless your version of Emulicious is outdated).
Some improvements have been made to the demo. A better palette, a bit of space optimization in the rom, revised perspective, more suitable music for Sonic, a few rings to test collisions and feed the poor hedgehog.
Here is a new update: The perspective has been revised again to be able to use more screen. I now use the entire tile palette in the raster. This allowed me to create a roadside edge by having two 8x8 textures cohabiting - And making CRAM dots much more visible ;-) .
The pause function is managed, it allows to adjust the speed and display the number of rings.
Finally I managed to add a small scrolling raster. The original goal was to create bends in the road but the perspective I redid didn't allow for that, so I applied it to the sky for now. Maybe someday...
