Using 32 pin BIOS chip on original Master System PCB 6629
Post Posted: Sat Jul 16, 2022 4:00 am
I noticed when I was removing the old BIOS that the PCB on my particular revision of the Master System (board 6629) has holes for 32 pin chips, though 4 are not in use for the existing 28 pin BIOS. According to this site's guide, it advises directly connecting the last four pins to other locations, but that appears to be for another revision. Can I safely just use the existing pin holes on this revision board? I've already added in a 32 pin socket to make it easy to swap BIOS chips but I would like to make sure 32 pin EPROMs can be used in this way.
