Japanese Bios 2.1 on SMS PAL VA3

Hi at all,
i ask a an information.
On my VA3 SMS is possible to install,
the MK-2000 (SMS) Bios?
Is possible remove from the SMS the original and install directly
the Japanese? Or need some modification?

It should be a direct swap. You can also write the jp bios to an eprom and use that instead of pulling the bios rom out of a jp console. Depending on the size of the eprom you use, you will need to either duplicate the data to fill the entire rom, or apply an offset so that its in the right location. This is because the larger roms have more address pins which might be connected to other signals on the bios rom. I suggest fitting an ic socket first as this will make it much easier to remove and replace the bios rom again if needed.
