Hi, really this is more of a megadrive question so apologies in advance if not allowed but I thought users on here might be able to help.
When I use a scart cable on my master system, games play fine on the tv however when I use the same cable on my megadrive I can hear the games playing but cant see them on the tv.
If I connect the megadrive using the rf cable the picture is there, if I connect the megadrive to a different tv in the house with the scart cable the picture is there.
when I listen to the sound it seems like its dropping out every so often
any suggestions as to the cause of this please?
the scart cable is just a cheapo off ebay, the tv is JVC

That's very weird. I guess that your MD is an unmodded PAL system, isn't it?

sounds like you have an issue with the MD composite out and/or missing the 220uf caps needed in the SCART cable.
Id check the MD with a composite cable first. SCART needs this signal to extract timing information
