As many of you already know, "World Cup Italia 90" was released in Brazil as "Super Futebol II" by Tectoy.

But there's another version of that game I've never seen in a ROM dump. It was released on a very rare Master System SuperCompact variant which was in Brazilian stores on the months before World Cup '94.

This modified game is also in the "Game Box Esportes" multigame cart (not to be confused with "Game Box Esportes Radicais", which was a "California Games" rip-off).

What are the changes? A new title screen and logo ("Super Futebol II" instead of "World Cup Italia 90") and all texts translated to Brazilian Portuguese.

Is there some ROM dump of it on the internet? I remember renting this game (Game Box Esportes) a long time ago (1995 or 1996), but never saw it again.

I made a dump of this version from the Game Box compilation, it's not yet released yet. I will try to have it released shortly.

Some trivia (dunno if was posted here already): TecToy did a contest where the best drawn Super Futebol title screens would get their own art on the game.

We can see the original art on the this attachment. BTW, each of those arts got their own cart version, that's what the text says.

Along with a Wimbledon ROM variant which is also unique to this Game Box Série Esportes compilation.

Thank you Bock, unfortunately this version of super futebol ii is still not the one from that contest (see the second picture in my earlier message). Glad to see this one released though.

Actually the logo from this release matches one contest entry (look at my first attachment). Seems like Tectoy just reused it.
