Polaria Poyon's Z80 heart on fire - YM2413 OPLL cover

This uses a trick which makes it seem like there are 2 custom patches playing at the same time (bass and percussion) but that is not true
I have made a patch with carrier having MULT of 4 and modulator having MULT of 1 TL of 0 and FB of 5 and both operators have sustaining envelope and i use it for bass and a very high pitched version of it for percussion and aliasing makes is sound like noise and volume macro to give it a decay pattern.

I don't understand a single thing you explained in the previous post but it sounds amazing! :)

Is this actually possible on real hardware?

Any chance you might share the Furnace Tracker instrument you're using here?

Yes Tastysnax12 tested it on his MSX-Music and it works very fine

it's very nice that it's using the 9 channel mode but you still get percussion, albeit not the ones 'in the chip'.

Very interesting use of 9 channel mode. Which are the built-in instruments used in addition to the custom one?

It's nice to hear some bottom end in the master system, instead of all high pitched bleeps. That's the one thing that always made me grind my teeth about master system games....man...if there could have been more music like this in the actual games.

I used clarinet for lead and square part of the percussion trumpet for chords and custom distorted patch for both bass and drums

I always hated the YM2413's inbuilt percussive mode, so a 9 channel track such as this one is just absolutely beautiful!

Been trying to find Furnace Tracker but not having any luck. Do you have any links to it?

Edit:

Ok, found a github page for furnace tracker. Is this something we have to compile the source code for ourselves? A little more information would be appreciated.

Or you can compile the code yourself
