Line of Fire 3D hack - Possible ?

Hi,
Was wondering how difficult it would be to patch Line of Fire into booting in 3D mode as default rather than entering the code to do so ?

Hello.
Change "$CA" at $03BC with "$C2"
All is done.
You can also recalculate TMR at $7FF0-$7FFF.

OK apologies for being a noob, I just presumed I would open the ROM with an hex editor and alter the below.
But I’m not seeing any lines resembling the below, what program do I need to use to alter the above values ?
Again apologies for my lack of knowledge.

You are on the right track. Open the rom in a hex editor like HxD. Then go to position 03BC. You should see CA there, change that to C2 as mentioned by BcnAbel76.
I tried it and it works.

Sorted it with HxD, think I was using the wrong search option before (I am not familiar at all with Hex Editors).
Thank you both for your help, much appreciated !
I am also looking to get World Soccer to boot straight into Sports Pad Soccer, this one detects the sports pad on boot and starts with the relevant title screen and control method. This is a bit of a faff using an Sports pad to navigate the EverDrive menu so would like it to boot straight into Sports Pad Soccer so I can change controller once the game has booted rather than before booting (if that makes sense).

Yes, it can. You can simply modify the byte in the Memory Editor then save the modified rom back to a rom file or an ips patch, whichever you prefer. :)

Thanks! I imagined that it could do.
