Found a decent thread detailing Donkey Kong on master system from a ColecoVision Port a while ago but not sure if this ever actually materialized. Can anybody point me in the direction to get more details please?

The Game Boy port might be a bit of a weird starting place, as it's not really a version of the conventional Donkey Kong game. It's actually a puzzle-platform game all about picking up items, collecting keys and navigating to stage exits. The first few levels are an approximation of the arcade game, but then there's like 100 more levels which are almost completely unrelated. If the goal is just to have Donkey Kong on the SMS, porting the Game Boy version seems like a lot of extra work.

Well, there exists a port from the Coleco 24K version to the MSX, not sure if someone tried to port that one to the SMS
