Raphnet sms adapter - bios stack
Post Posted: Mon Apr 13, 2020 6:42 pm
Hi I have a question.

I've build the raphnet sms adapter and so far I had only 1 game that plays nicely....sonic the hedgehog.

I've build this adapter because the master system I was given wasn't working so I salvaged the good parts (z80, audio chip, srams, cartridge slot) and put them away for future use.

Now I found the cartridge slot again and had a none working copy of sonic 1 for the genesis and decided to build the adapter.

I've read the thing about the bios stack and tried to put the on my adapter but I can't get it to work.
The AVR I use is just fine, I've tested it with another project where I blink some LED's and measured the clock with a scope....all working fine.

I think something is wrong with the way I am hooking up the AVR.
I've done it like this:

SMS signal (D1 to D7) => AVR => genesis signal (D1 - D7)
Genesis CE => 1,5k resistor =>AVR & SMS CE
SMS RD => AVR => Genesis
SMSD0 => Genesis D0 & 1,5k Resistor to +5V

Is this the right way?
