Dangerous Demolition is a small arcade / action game for your Game Gear!

It's a mix between breakout and a shooter: the balls help you destroy bricks walls, but they can also kill you!
Hopefully, you can shoot them to guide them in the right direction.

Controls:
D-Pad: Move
1 or 2: Shoot
Start: Pause

The game is programmed in C, using the wonderful DevkitSMS and PSGlib SDKs.
I also used BMPTile and Mod2PSG2 for graphics and sfx.
Last but not the least, the catchy ingame music, titled "On The Run", is composed by Jaden Houghton.

I hope you'll enjoy my first GameGear game!

That's quite a novel concept, and surprisingly fun. I think it also would work great in a twin stick set-up (though not on the GG of course). I will most certainly spend more time with this. It's very cool to see new ideas like this explored.

A neat game for the Game Gear. One suggestion may be to not make the player repeat the entire level on continue [i.e. after Game Over] i.e. "remember" the bricks that were already hit. Congratulations on completing your first game for the Game Gear!

Thanks everyone for your feedback and comments! I'm glad you enjoy the game!

I'll try to keep working on it and maybe try to push it towards an physical release, so your feedback (and your entries in the competitions), are really motivating! :)

Nice game.
One suggestion I have is to have a new ball blink before it spawns or some other marker.

What a great game! Love the music and sfx as well, along with the shaking of the tiles when the bricks break :)
Also I'm with denine regarding second ball spawns.

best regards,

Great little game! It kept me until I finished the game. I liked the "dynamic" music, as also the layout of the final stage. Well done!!!
