EDIT: my request has been filled, thanks Marsil and Bock.
I'm sure this thread will still be useful to other enthusiasts and researchers seeking scans of S The Sega Magazine though. |

I have all issues of the S Magazine. Unfortunately, the format is too large for my scanner. Will photos suffice?

Yes photos would be fine, as long as they're clear enough and big enough to read the text by zooming in, I would really appreciate that Marsil, thank you |

I decided to try my scanner anyway. Due to the magazine being to large, the right or left borders got cut off but both text and pictures are intact.
There seems to be a limit on how many files I can attach to a post. The rest of issue 2 will bei in the next post. |

Thank you Marsil I really appreciate it, there are so few sources of information for this era of video gaming.

Thank you! Please scan 4 and 5 when you can. It is much appreciated!
Edit - Here's issue 2 converted to pdf. https://www.dropbox.com/s/32t1qpkkxnpftnr/S%20The%20Sega%20Magazine%2002%20%281990-01%29.pdf?dl=1 |

Issue 4 is now the only remaining issue I need to look at, I believe it may contain some information I need for my research project.
Please can anyone help? Some quick photos would be fine as long as I can zoom in to read the text, doesn't need to be perfect scans. |

I think Marsil disappeared. Hopefully he will come back one day with the 2 remaining issue scans.

I just obtained some magazines from Marsil including S - Issue 4.
Let's see if Marsil had a chance to scan them first. I don't have a good scanner in my new home (only the one that comes with the cheap printer) but if Issue 4 is not on the Internet I'll scan it. |

Thanks! Could you scan 5 also? |

I'll scan Issue 4 now but like Marsil my current scanner is too small for the format of the magazine, so I won't bother about scanning quality merely to make it readable. What kind of information are you looking for ?

Here's a hasty scan of all 32 pages of Issue 4.

Nice, thanks so much for the scans. Here is the pdf version:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/9eollrp3n4nwj1t/S%20The%20Sega%20Magazine%2004%20%281990-03%29.pdf?dl=1 Now only #5 is still MIA. |

Thanks so much Bock. Just had a read through and unfortunately it doesn't have the information I wanted, but there's so few sources for this era of gaming I had to check to be sure. It's good to get the scans online anyway for other enthusiasts and researchers. To answer your previous question, I'm currently looking for a reference source, written around the time, for the UK release date for Golden Axe on Master System. I know it was early 1990 but I'd like to pin it down more precisely. Again, I'm only interested in sources written around that time (i.e. late-1989 to early-1990). Unfortunately there weren't many gaming magazines around at that time and I'm fast running out of places to check. |

I have also obtained Issue 5 from Marsil this month. Unfortunately my printer/scanner is acting really weird. To be honest I was surprised it decided to work yesterday, this morning it refuses to work again.. I am currently looking at book scanner reviews... things like CZUR scanner would be useful since I have billion of documents. |

Great, at least you have #5 so we know it is available for scanning when you can get a solution sorted out.
I mean even phone pics like Marsil did would be good enough for a stop-gap if you were so inclined. In any event, thanks for securing the magazines. They're in good hands now I'm sure! |

I have been fortunate to acquire a complete set of S the Sega Magazine recently. I can confirm that, yes, the format is too big for typical scanners.
