SF-7000 repair

I'm in the process of repairing my Sega SF-7000, and I'm looking for a replacement belt for the disk drive.
Does anyone know if I can just use a standard drive belt from an Amstrad CPC interchangeably? Found this on eBay: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AMSTRAD-CPC-6128-FLOPPY-DISK-DRIVE-BELT-TWIN-PACK-2-... - would this do the job? Also, if anyone has any info on how to transfer data to and from the SF-7000 and a PC, (if it's even possible) that would be great! |

It did the job for me! Though there is the slight possibility that there are multiple CPC drive types? (I don't know CPC ecosystem very much, but you can also use a CPC drive). For transfering I think using Kryoflux is currently the most reliable manner. I have a friend working on a better solution (not particularly for SF-7000 but it should work for it). Kryoflux has a weird licence. |
