Problems using Sega Mark III
Post Posted: Fri Nov 22, 2019 9:43 am
Hi guys,

I recently bought a used Mark III with baseball game; when I turn on the console the game seems to be fine but after pressing any button at the team selection screen I got what seems to be like a console "freeze".

Demo mode (leaving title screen for few seconds) works fine.

I also tested a F16 Fighting Falcon cart game (for Sega Master System) and the game seems to run fine but absolutely no buttons seem to work.

I do not have any other game to test (just bought a SMS adapter to use master system games - I would like to test GG everdrive too on it).

I am using an original master system gamepad (I do not have a mark III game pad).

Any hint about what the problem can be ? Faulty console ? Please help me because I have the chance to give the console back.

If console does not power on by years some oxid can be added to slots.

It is only a hypothesis

Cleaned with specific circuit prducto: always the same freeze :(

EDIT
Problem solved: Mark III has inverted P1 and P2 joypad prots (compared to the Master System), I was trying to use P2 port as P1... sad story :(
