Let me know if I can help with that, this is the kind of thing I like. You might also consider using an existing module format (e.g. XM) as a stepping stone instead of reinventing the wheel, so you can compose your music in a fully fledged tracker (e.g. Mod Plug Tracker) and only perform a simple conversion later. That's what I did with my XM to SMPS converters (you probably never heard of them since they target the 16-bit version of Sonic 1), at first I wanted to write a dedicated SMPS tracker, but lazyness soon took over, and I don't regret the XM choice, so that lazyness actually was efficiency.

As of today I have a working tracker available for sn76489 + OPLL that can fully support both chips.

How do you cope with specific sn76489 registers in an XM tracker?

Since you said you were still working on it I had no idea that you already a functional tracker, feel free to disregard my post, I guess.

wow this demo is awesome. I especially like the fact that new skills are acquired as the game progresses

Hi Zipper,

what an awesome demo!

Apparently, it's unfinishable, after doing pretty much everything the game crashes and go to game over on some screens.

Has there been any progress in recent times?

The game over music is one of the best songs I've ever heard from an 8-bit machine!
