Still doing more CV2SG conversions. Right here is another one of my Pac-Man WIPs. You still have to struggle with the thing by using the pause / start button.

Here's a neat demo. Death Race. It's hard to get the people in this game, but try to at least get them.

Here's another neat game from the man who created Space Invasion. Killer Instinct. One version has the messed up control, the other one is fixed.

I managed to get Mr. Do working somewhat successfully. If you want to see for yourself, then here.

Here's Antarctic Adventure. The graphics seem to be garbage, and the music is out of sync, but still works fine.

BurgerTime for SC-3000/SG-1000 converted from CV.

You can change the extension to .SG if you prefer.

Is this from that ColecoVision emulator for the SG-1000 / SC-3000 / SF-7000? I have to try this out.
Edit: Oh. It's just a regular conversion. Was expecting the one from the other topic.

Nope, I didn't used my 8KB patched BIOS used in SF-7000. Do you need it ?

I used the bios provided me by Revo. I added the correct initialization for SC-3000 and disassembled the rom + made all required changes.
I will try to remap it to another memory space to let it fit into 32KB rom size.

I would like to rewrite my game from Sg-1000 to ColecoVision and I have a problem with specific information about wram memory. I know there is 1024 bytes of WRAM and it starts at $ 6000-63FF. Does the BIOS use any part of the WRAM? I noticed using Stack Pointer on values such as 73BE (WRAM byte 958) - it is often quite early in memory and I wonder why not at the end of WRAM e.g. $ 73FE? Is anything between the beginning of the "bottom" of the Stack and the end of WRAM used by the BIOS? Address $ 7xxx I guess WRAM MIRROR used?

Overall, what range of ColecoVision WRAM is safe to use?

Any helpful information needed because I don't know the Coleco architecture completely.

Feel free to go over to the Atari Age Colecovision forum where the Coleco community is active:

https://atariage.com/forums/forum/115-colecovision-adam/

I've attached the document I've used as a reference for my ColecoVision ports.

To answer your question, the ColecoVision has 1K from $7000 to $7400, which is mirrored from $6000. I believe most games use $7000, but that's just convention.

I use the entire memory range from $7000 to $7400 for my games, since I don't use the BIOS at all.

The BIOS uses 42 bytes at the start and 71 bytes at the end. I completely ignore the BIOS, since I have my own all my own routines from my SG-1000 libraries, and I just use them (at different ports). You can specify your own NMI at the start of the cartridge, so the BIOS isn't needed, past bootup

You only have 32K of ROM for ColecoVision games, any more and you'll need the MegaCart.

Another difference from the SG-1000 is the Coleco use the NMI (at address $66) for it's vdu interrupt, so it can't be disabled. I use a flag in the interrupt instead to disable reading the vdu status when I need to set the vdu address.

Saw this elsewhere - An unlicensed 1991 Korean Dr. Mario knockoff called "Dr. Hello," originally for MSX and ported to the Sega Master System in SG-1000 mode.

Could presumably be ported to Colecovision.

I´m test in my Everdrive Made in China for Master System, and Burgertime it´s work perfectly!!!!

But, Time Pilot (Colecovision 2 Sg) when I press lower diagonal + button 1 it goes into pause mode playing music and black screen, having to press a few times again lower diagonal + button 1 on the joystick to go back. Similar to the intellivision pause mode, which is done by pressing the intellivision joystick buttons 1 and 9, or 3 and 7 simultaneously.

I converted Fraction Fever and it plays without any problems. The only thing is that I need to fix is the sound since it doesn't play.

Edit: FIXED!

Bro! This is next level Donkey Kong! Nice job you two. I always imagined having an opening screen instead of the Coleco BIOS.

Easy peasy, the GG has a SMS compatibility mode.

Or would you be referring to something else beyond that?

Mate! Thanks!
I rewrote the entire bios in order to avoid that way to choose the difficult level.
Now the game seems like a native one.

Yes, that's how the MasterGear converter works, and there were even some commercial GG games that use that mode directly, like Castle of Illusion and Dizzy, for example.

Is there some VDP config to be set or it works magically?

Not a VDP setting, but a pin on the cartridge.

Hi. I did Mouse Trap, and it works well. Only problem is the sprites for the in-game. The characters seem to be all bunched up in the top left of the screen. If anyone would like to volunteer to fix it, go ahead.

Hi mate,
I have this game on Colecovision and it requires some keys of the keypad. How did you handle it?

Yeah, the keypad is mapped on the D-pad and it's pretty hard to control sometimes. The character on the other hand seems like he's moving perfectly fine. To be honest, I might have to use your BIOS since it actually requires a keyboard and such.

Dropping new release: Donkey Kong Jr. converted from CV with my custom BIOS modified to let this game runs. Patched Palette for SMS. Stack routines handled.
Reverse engineered the graphics encoding routines.

This time was more difficult.

Tested on: Emulicious, Master Everdrive

It's not a generic BIOS. I customize it for every game. The reverse engineering process requires effort to inject BIOS menu into the game.
Actually I use it for my SG-1000 releases. Probably I will make an SMS specific version to release on GitHub.
