Matt Gerken sent me this to be published about http://www.videogameauctions.com :

As the only internet auction and store portal aimed 100% at gamers, VGA has already notched up more than a million page views. And in the last 8 days 350 new members have registered from a Spread of 20 countries, As an incentive to attract members to this bold new service, VGA are currently waiving all fees on auctions posted in July. Competitive listing fees will be slowly rolled out across the site on a date to be announced but they will guarantee to be atleast half the cost of ebay.

Founded and operated by a team of passionate gamers, VGA enforces a strict anti-piracy policy and is currently seeking advice from ELSPA and other enforcement agencies to this end. Monitoring auction listings on a regular basis and dealing with suspect items immediately, the VGA admin team are fully aware on what to look for, and will always be proactive not leaving it to members to highlight and report illegal or copyright infringing materials.

The site will also not allow the current trend of spam and non physical item auctions that seem to plauging auction sites like ebay, Prototype and development videogame items are allowed.

With the proactive support of users it will evolve into an auction site the gaming community can call their own.

Advantages over Ebay

Anti-piracy stance - being gamers we know what to look for and can removed pirate auctions within minutes.

Flexible system - we listen to members and can amend the site accordingly. An example is Adding Categories where members have the option to suggest a new category

No reserve minimum - Ebay recently removed the option to set a reserve under £50.00 This means if you have something to sell up to £50.00 then you either have to have a high starting price
and pay higher listing fees or start low and gamble on selling cheap.

Reduced fees - once fees are introduced, we guarantee they will be considerably less than Ebay

Like-minded gamers - a large majority of VGA members are pure gamers, this should give confidemnce that when someone list something as 'mint' it will be mint.

Gamers listing options - we are able to edit and amend our site accordingly, adding listing enhancemnets like 'Spine Card' mean buyers will know more about the product from the moment they see it in the listings.
We can and will add new listing options as and when the need arises.

Site updates - due to the nature of the business, our software allows for regular updates giving increased flexibility and new features on a regular basis. VGA can change with the times.

No restrictions on imports or prototype and development items - unless outlawed by law, VGA will always allow the buying and selling of import and prototype/dev products.

I bought a Nomad from the site recently and it was a pleasurable bidding experience. Thing is there aren't many people selling on there... yet.
