VGM Package Versionning

From now on, I would suggest adding a Versionning information to VGM package.
This way:
[ in the .TXT file ]
Publisher: xxx
Files created by: xxx
Files version: xxx
1.0 usually being the first addition to the VGM archive.
If you want to link from here to beta for feedback, you can version them as 0.8, 0.9...
What do you think ?
Packages on hold :
- Out Run 3-D (waiting for Shaka's reaction :)
- Phantasy Star (got two submissions. Were analysed, needing little update, then it's ok)
- Golvellius (apparently nearly ready, except for names ? maybe release 1.0 without names ?)

Also, make the download filenames of the form Game_name_100.zip or whatever.

"i will package them and send them to Bock.." - Shaka, 22/9/01

The required changes shouldn't take too long, if the original untrimmed VGMs weren't deleted...

Or 0.9?

I think that sounds fine, maybe make a not totally complete table on the VGM Archive page, and when a package is 100% done move them to the other table, and maybe a Music news page with changes in VGM packages. Is it my Golvellius package you are refering to ? =) If it is I could just rename the files to the number they have in the soundtest and send them to you, and hope that someone who has played Golvellius alot fills in with the names.

Yes, please. If they're correctly trimmed, it's good enough.
Maybe name them 'Song xx' for the moment.
And add the version line, 0.9 would be good, what do you think ?

Hmm, no.. I think it's better without. First because we hopefully won't have much version change, and I think such things shouldn't be seen by the average VGM user. Anyone ?

Last time he told me "I will package them", it took one month ;-)
Hehe it's ok. Take your time Shaka.

Maybe you should add such kind of advices in your tutorial, just in case.

OK :) I was thinking it will make it easy to tell if it's a new version, but just so long as the version number is visible before downloading that's OK.

And maybe I should do it myself! :) I just changed the tutorial to say that (I told people to delete them before... after checking the trimmed file was OK).

I've updated the instructions page and sample description file accordingly.

I believe they are 100% except tune 12, which sounds a little strange, gonna try to rip it again - it feels a little out of sync. I'll probably send it to you tonight.

I have save states to all music in Phantasy Star, tell me what to rip and I'll rip it again.
