GameGear Development

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to know if anyone has done some coding for the GameGear? I have gathered that it is quite similar to the SMS since there is a simple adapter that allows the GG to play the SMS's games. I am interested in if anyone can help shed some light compilers, assemblers and what kinda cable gizmo I will be needing to do this.

Thanks
Chad

Charles Doty did some nice things for the GG.
I'm planning a project soon. Anyone got an idea of what we can do ?

something that shows off your ability to make use of h-ints perhaps (a rising and falling water level, ala sonic?).

see if you can make a simple 3d renderer in z80, eg show a rotating 3d cube or something, just to see how fast it goes ;)

throuw a lot of sprites around, perhaps see how many bouncing balls you can manipulate before slowdown sets in.

and a (fake) digitized sound sample or two for good measure, heh ;)
