Hi all, long time no see hum?

Well, yesterday I got a SMS3 Compact and for my surprise, it dont come
with Alex kidd or Sonic built-in, but Hang-On/Safari Hunt!! More weirdness: the bios
on it is from the SMS1, because if I hold UP,1,2 at the Sega screen, I get the Maze game.
I wonder why Tectoy did this....

obs: the Sega logo when your turn the console on comes with the "master system" logo and
the "tadadaaa" song too ;-)

That is bizarre. It wouldn't have reduced manufacturing costs in any way - the HO/SH BIOS is a 128K ROM, just like Alex Kidd.

Actually, thinking about it, it makes sense from a marketing point of view, because they could make more money by not bundling A-grade titles with the console - forcing people to buy the cartridges separately instead.
