Another meka.nam question

First, the bit only Zoop could possibly answer :o)
Thanks to MUG U.K(tm)'s IPS patches, I was able to patch some of my roms to please GoodSMS. This produced a few results:
1. Roms that I didn't use to have but do now, than Meka.nam knows. Great!
2. Roms thet GoodSMS knows but Meka doesn't. I may upload these so Zoop can get a hold of them (I wouldn't wish IPS patches on my worst enemy... whoever thought of a patch system that doesn't CRC the original to check it's the right file?).
3. Roms that are different (different CRC, fc usually says they're 1 byte different) but Meka recognises as the same rom... when it only has one CRC in meka.nam. Is Meka's secret CRC code ignoring irrelevant rom data in a clever fashion, and therefore ignoring different bytes that make no difference? Impressive if true...
And now, the next bit.
Does anyone have a clue what the [!][b] GoodSMS's filename suffixes mean? Using the directory sorting "feature" it seemed to think [b] meant bad (nope) and that the only SMS hack was one of the two japanese Castles Of Illusion. It also identified two very different roms as identical.
Seeing as there's apparently no official GoodXXX website, can anyone here help?
Maxim
PS. I also deleted GoodSMS when I finished... I just needed it to rename my roms for the benefit of the IPS patches.

[!] - confirmed to be a good dump
[b] - baaad dump
[o] - overdump (baaad dump)
[x] - hack ([x2] would be another hack, and so on)
[a] - alternate (same notation as above)

I'm not going to collect and list bad dumps like GoodSMS does.
Men, since that GoodXXX craze people are now collecting bad dumps, that stinks!
