I hacked this game and ripped the music, both PSG and FM. I need someone to help by naming the tracks. I would have emailed it to Martin but I lost his email address :(

I also hacked Wonder Boy in Monster Land, and it's done too, just needs naming. So nobody do that.

I also hacked Psycho Fox (notice a theme here?) and got the ending music without SFX over it finally.

Possibly of note is that hacking a game almost certainly takes twice as long as just playing through it. I'm just a bit crazy, that's all.

I updated VGMTool a bit, fixing some FM issues which were somewhat occluded by the fact that Dega doesn't make correct FM VGMs (percussion is not initialised properly). If I had a real FM-chipped-system it would be helpful, as I'm having to use EMU2413 as my reference and it treats ch6-8 writes differently in rhythm and non-rhythm mode. But I digress.

I also finally added some code which, in a roundabout way, gives 100% Unicode support under all versions of Windows (well, v4+), so I'm in a position to add some Japanese text to some files. All I need is someone to tell me what to write since I don't understand any of it (except for a few of the Chinese characters they use). I have: "Sega Master System", and all the Japanese game names thanks to Project Megadrive. I would like: "Sega Game Gear", "Shinichi Sakamoto", and anything else of relevance like translated track titles for games that were originally Japanese. Just write it in a text file, in whichever encoding you like, and send it to me. Thanks.

(The player still has to use the minibrowser to display unicode on unsupporting Windowses, that's not going to change.)

SG-1000/SC-3000 should be enough, the S means Sega anyway.

Well, the official line (I remember there was argument about it at the time) is that the English version should be "Sega SG-1000", etc, despite the repetition if you expand the abbreviation. We've already put Sega in front of Master System and Game Gear, and it looks more consistent. Or shall it be Sega Game 1000, etc? Ah, the same old questions :)
