Sega/Mega Mouse on Master System
![]() |
I suppose the short answer is "no", but I am curious about the long answer: would the Sega/Mega Mouse work on the Master System? Has anyone tried it? Of course, I am thinking about using it on games like Lemmings, Lemmings 2 and Shanghai.
If not -and that would be the probable answer-, why it wouldn't work on the Master System? What would it need to work, if there was a way to make it usable? |

I don't have a mouse to test, but if it does work, I expect its performance would be similar to using the Sports Pad in digital mode. Which offers excellent precision, but in some cases the game limits the speed of your player (or cursor in the case of these games) more than you'd like, making it much more sluggish than a PC-style experience of whipping a mouse arrow around the screen quickly.

It is possible for homebrew to use the Mega Mouse but it requires specific software support (ie a hack for Lemmings).

it works, and Raph's INlib library supports it, if you want to use it in an homebrew |
