interesting list - unfortunately most of these doesn't even have a thread in the forum :|

if the authors (or anyone!) provide descriptions and native resolution screenshots I can put them up

List updated with Battle City and Sutoroku.

By the way, sverx, what should a native resolution picture be like? 256x192? What is the easiest way/the best emulator to take pictures like these? What kind of image file must be used?

Most emulators have a feature to dump raw screenshots, do not use the printscreen method and you'll be fine.

As for the format, ideally PNG, possibly 8-bit indexed and not 24-bit rgb or (even worse) 32-bit rgba, but let's not be greedy here, just PNG is fine, it can be optimised later.

Whatever you do, just stay the hell away from JPEG.

I'd gladly help, but (at the cost of sounding like a broken record) my life just managed to become even worse.

We have a page at https://www.smspower.org/Site/ImageStandards which applies a bit; but broadly, Meka does what we like and Emulicious sometimes doesn't. 256x192 or 248x192 are the most likely dimensions for SMS games.

Removed Amiga Boing Demo from the list, since it's already on the Homebrew page. Added Cross TREX by Fabrizio Caruso.

Would you like to have access to add and update the Homebrew section? You basically need to make some screenshots, copy/paste (and reformat) any readme, and link to the source.

Would there be some way to automatize it so creators just submit it into the system? This way we could have it always up to date. What do you think about it?

Why do you think it would be difficult to manage? If a form was created so the interested parties could submit the homebrew, as well as pictures and a description they could input the software. Instead of a direct upload, it could have a state of revision by admins before being published.

If you were to go ahead but needed hands, I make you know I was a professional web developer right until they broke me. I could help.

Sure. Don't know if I'll be up to SMSPower's standards, but I can at least give it a shot.

Sutoroku removed from the list, it's now on the Homebrew page.

If any of you guys notice any homebrew production that isn't on the page or listed here, please write it down. I don't really pay attention to the GG scene, so any help there is appreciated.

Also, one thing that I think is missing on a lot of the entries on the page, is older versions of the files. Some projects have lots of differences between versions (Skazka, Do the Same), and while some developers prefer to have only the newer versions distributed, I believe it's important to have older versions stored somewhere. So, if you happen to have any of these old files, and the author has never prohibited their redistribution, please share them!

I am the one who thank you Bock and everyone else maintaining this amazing website, which I visit since forever. If a man can love a machine, love is what I feel for my old electronic pal, and if nothing else, this website has always helped keeping this flame alive.

Anyways, the page for the super addicting Grazers is up: https://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/Grazers-SMS

Again, I'm the one who thank you sverx. Once upon a time there was this homebrew community which created 1, maybe 2 games a year. Then a magician came along and created devkitSMS. Suddenly, the community was bursting with action from every corner of the world. SMS fans couldn't thank the magician enough.

Anyways, here are the Mazy pages:

SMS Mazy: https://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/Mazy-SMS
SG-1000/SC-3000 Mazy: https://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/Mazy-SG
GG Mazy Mini: https://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/MazyMini-GG

I hope my Game Gear screenshots are okay according to SMSPower submission rules.

I'm really enjoying playing these Mini versions of inufuto's games with their smaller playfields, better colors and jerkier scrolling.

SG-1000 -> https://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/Aerial-SG
SMS -> https://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/Aerial-SMS
Aerial Mini -> https://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/AerialMini-GG

The Mini version's playfield sure has a lot of flat surface, making it kinda monotonous.

Wow, made a lot of mistakes while building these pages, maybe I'm getting tired. At the beginning I though "well, it's just some pictures and links, what trouble can it be?", but my computer illiteracy allied with my overall dumbness makes these pages take from 1 to 2 hours of each of my days. But this doesn't mean I'm stopping before they are all ready, and most importantly, it doesn't mean I'm not LOVING doing them.

I’m glad you’re enjoying it :)

One suggestion: maybe add links between the related games when they have been made for SG/SMS/GG, so people can find them more easily.

And the pages for Lift:

SG-1000/SC-3000 -> https://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/Lift-SG
Lift Mini -> https://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/LiftMini-GG

I love inufuto's games, they're cute, play well and cover all classic gameplay styles, but c'mon... Playing all them like this is like watching all James Bond movies in a week (hint: don't do it, specially not near your wife).

This has been an incredible journey so far. The response from the community has been amazing! I've been receiving encouraging messages and emails from the very beginning! And this just proves how important the Homebrew section is, not only for me, but for all of us, and mainly for the Master System itself. The Games section is about the past, and the Homebrew section is about the console's future. On my view, they're equally important.

So, I've not only been adding new pages, but also revamping old ones, making changes from the banally perfunctory to uploading newer versions of projects whose pages were outdated. But no change yet matches this one: https://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/PongMaster-SMS! I remembered playing a version of Pong Master which wasn't the version available here, and asked haroldoop if I wasn't dreaming. His response was nothing short of surprising: he sent me the updated April 2006 version of the game! Check it out, guys, you won't regret it!

Thanks everybody, for helping me out so far, and thanks, haroldoop, for your amazing arcade ports!

a note about https://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/SubAssault-SMS: the readme in the zip file contains:

SUB-ASSAULT V1.4.1 SMSPOWER VERSION by Louis The SEGA Nerd 31/12/24
-----------------------------------------------------------------
DO NOT REPOST ANY OF THE FILES FOUND IN THIS PACKAGE, PLEASE SHARE THE LINK TO ITCH.IO INSTEAD :)

and unless you had the OK from LTSN we probably should just have a link there.

Don't worry, sverx. Louis prepared these files specially for SMSPower! distribution (look at the date in the readme file) after I asked for his permission. For which I am very thankful, Louis The SEGA Nerd! Thanks for your games, for all your help and for your generosity!

Oh, SMS Monaco Master's file has also been updated, again thanks to him. Now, the SMSPower! version has save functionality!
