recently i was seeing that some msx vgm files were converted to furnace tracker files and shared at https://download.file-hunter.com/Music/Furnace%20Tracker/

so what if smspower website could host vgm files converted to furnace tracker files as well, so people could analyze how these songs were made?

for now, some vgm to furnace converters (still "embryonic"....) can be found at https://notabug.org/nitrofurano/vgm2vortextracker/src/master/vgm2furnaceclipboar... (runs on sdlbasic) - eventually we might find better converters coming soon (or maybe some of us or someone else might want to improve these ones)

VGM to tracker conversion is never going to work very well without manual cleanup, and even then I don’t think it’s something we want to host alongside the VGMs. Feel free to post on the forum through.

I took a look at the fur files.
I expected songs playing at full speed, making them quite unreadable, but nothing of that.
Actually they look quite clean. That goes for the Transbot and MSX songs.
