Snepulator YM2413 implementation
Post Posted: Fri Jan 19, 2024 3:11 am
Hi all,

I've just finished getting my YM2413 (FM sound) implementation to the point where I'm happy with it, other than a couple of small tidy-ups to go.

It's based on andete's reverse engineering documents, along with a few tests I've done myself with a YM2413 on a breadboard to check the emulator behaves similar to the original chip.

Throughout the project, I took occasional videos of the progress, playing the Space Harrier music from the Japanese BIOS, to show how the sound changed as more and more of the features were added:

For anyone that's interested, here's the code:

Cheers,
Joppy
