BH-400 / SH-400 : how do these work?
Post Posted: Tue Jan 24, 2023 6:56 pm
I did a search and didn't find anything about the technical details of how these controllers work. Are these (or which aspects of these are...) analog? I know there's special workings for the paddle controller, but wasn't sure if anyone had plumbed how these devices need to be coded.

Do they work as-is on an export SMS vs. JP SMS or do they require special coding like the paddle controller?

The BH-400 is totally digital. It has on off switches inside. I never saw the insides of a SH-400, but I would bet it is the same.

So it’s digital gearshift (up/down), digital turning (left right) and digital throttle (accelerator engaged/not engaged)? What a lost opportunity.

Are some of the functions mapped to the 1 & 2 buttons?
