Sega Mark III on CRT (UK)
Post Posted: Fri Aug 26, 2022 8:03 am
So my buddy mentioned to me if I ever plugged my Mark III into a CRT it could be Black and White. Something to do with the signal but not tried it yet. Is there some kind of adapter you can buy?

NTSC and PAL have different color carrier frequencies.
My pretty old TV had a settings menu where you could set NTSC/PAL/AUTO, check your TV...

If it works on an LCD screen it should be fine.

My Brazilian Master System would show up in B&W on an LCD if it wasn't running through all my streaming gear. Sometimes you can catch a glimpse of it when I turn the system on and it takes a second or two for the transcoder to catch up. That is PAL-M going to NTSC.

I guess it could be different going in the opposite direction.
