MASTER SYSTEM EVOLUTION

Question:
I've been offered a Brazilian Master System Evolution (they will ship from Brazil to UK), don't think it will work on my LCD TV but I do have 2 CRTs but does anyone know how to get one running without blowing it (or my house) up?

If you want colors, your TV need to be compatible with PAL-M.

first of all, you have to make sure you can power up that thing without putting yourself in danger - Brasil has both 110 and 220 volts, at 60 Hz - in UK we have 220 volts 50 Hz.
The unit might work with both 110 and 220 volts, but you have to make sure it indeed does before plugging in. The difference in frequency might not be important but on this topic I'm not knowledgeable enough.
If you replace the DC converter with one that is made for UK you're much safer, but I think that unit doesn't come with an external converter unit that you can simply replace with your own.
In short - beware!
