From the 1987 Summer Consumer Electronics Show which ran from May 30th - June 2nd in Chicago;

Part 1
Part 2

This seems to be from a VHS tape made by a German games magazine. Unfortunately I don't think the original has been uploaded, and this one is a reaction video with a couple of guys talking (and slightly appearing) over it.

Row of consoles;

Cards and cartridges have a locking device on them;

Out Run was displayed prominently (correlates to the end of the row in the first pic);

Using the arcade to promote it too;

Another row of consoles;

2 player light gun fun;

Hardware displayed behind glass;

Display Unit;

Zaxxon 3D, looks a lot different to the final release just a few months later;

And this early build of Monopoly is a lot different too. This game kept getting pushed back, and didn't end up getting released until September 1988.

The other games shown don't appear to show any noticable differences to the retail releases, but someone who knows the games inside out might be able to notice something I didn't.

Some really interesting stuff, thanks for sharing. The pic of the kiosk unit caught my eye, looks like it has two parts sticking out of it that I’ve never seen before, on either side of the control panel. Looks like maybe controller holders??
