Finally did a flawless playthrough of Alex Kidd in Shinobi World

33 extra lives, final score 157500. This was the first game I remember beating as a kid, and I love stomping through it once in a while. It's still my favorite game on the system. I usually would just occasionally take one or two hits playing through, but this time I finally made it through the whole thing unscathed. As far as I know, I got every box; if it's possible to get more than 33 lives, please let me know. I know some enemies can be farmed for more points, so I'm not really concerned about the score.

Anyway, here's hoping we find the Shinobi Kid prototype someday!

Great game, but way too short.
They should have added at least 2 extra stages.

The shortness is part of the appeal to me, and part of what inspired me to do a perfect run, as time wasted on failed attempts wouldn't be too big of an issue. I also run through Rastan pretty quickly, but I think a no-hit run would be just about impossible. (I'm happy with a one-credit clear on that one)

More levels would have been great. At some point, a fifth level was planned during development, another reason why I hope more Shinobi Kid material gets discovered.
