Mod2PSG2 load BAS module
Post Posted: Thu Sep 24, 2020 2:17 pm
I see that Mod2PSG2 can load a *.BAS module but it appears it only supports one channel. GW-BASIC for Tandy and MSX BASIC supported multi-channel PLAY statements. Ex., PLAY "CDE", "GAB", "FED". Now this didn't work in Mod2PSG2. It only loaded the first channel. Does it really only support one channel for a *.BAS file or does it load multi-channel by other syntax means?

Thanks!

It only supports one channel unfortunately. I'm surprised someone else finally tried the *.BAS import function :)

This would have been such a nice feature if it supported multi-channel for those who enjoy MML. I personally like MML over Trackers because you can easily see the whole song without flipping through patterns. Maybe I will get around to adding VGM export to Macrotune one day.

if MOD2PSG2 supports copying from one module to another you could import your MML into 3 separate files and copy and paste into one later...

Looks like v2.05 can do that. But it requires editing the .bas file to extract the right channel.
