HELP!!! How do I listen to the VGM files?

I just found this site today, and I am dying to listen to some old game music. The sections say that the files are in VGM format, but when I unzip them, they are in VGZ format and I can't play them...
I have the plugin for WinAmp, I even tried the vgm2mid converter thing...it won't play anything :(
What am I missing here??

VGZ is just a compressed VGM format. If you rename them to .vgm.gz you might ne able to uncompress them with Winzip or simialr. However...

Open Winamp. Press Ctrl+P. Click on File Types in the tree on the left. Make sure vgm and vgz are selected in the Associated extensions list. If they aren't in the list, another plugin is messing Winamp up.
