Official Bluetooth Sega (Genesis/Megadrive) controllers

So limitedrungames.com is selling officially licensed Sega genesis / megadrive controllers.
I like the controllers, but I love the 6- button arcade stick. How hard do you think it would be to repurpose the innards and make a bluetooth arcade stick?
I bought a couple BT controllers and have 2 arcade sticks... I can solder, but that's about the extent of my knowledge.
