Could you make a Sonic style game for the Sega SG-1000?

I know the system is 8-bit and all, but they did it on the SMS, so it should be possible on the SG-1000 as well.

The video chip doesn’t support smooth scrolling so it is kind of tricky.

And I am thinking of Jurassic Boy 2, a Sonic knock-off for the NES.
It probably is only in part scrolling, part just bad developers.
Starts off okay, falls apart a few levels in when the map starts puking over itself with corrupt data. :P
