Tintin On The Moon (SMS)
Post Posted: Thu Aug 22, 2019 4:54 am
One of the the most interesting unreleased SMS games out there IMO. Very little is known about the game, it was developed by Teeny Weeny Games and unrelated to the computer game. You can find a tons of previews in French magazines and even a few in UK publications.

Looking more into these previews tells us the lead programmer was Angela Sutherland, the founder of TWG. She goes a bit in-depth about this game on her MobyGames profile.

Quote
Following the death of Mirrorsoft's owner Robert Maxwell and the subsequent scandal, Angela sold the almost completed games to Acclaim. TWG finished its commission to create a game called Tintin Explorers on the Moon for Virgin, who, once it was complete, confessed they didn’t actually have the license, so that game never saw the light. Gregg Barnett offered Angela half of Beam UK, which resulted in the creation of Perfect Entertainment.

There’s a good chance that if we find Angela we can find Tintin. I think she has a Facebook (I don’t use Facebook), so we could maybe try there first.

I found her Facebook. It’s linked here on this VGM site.

Interesting, this profile wasn't showing up in the search results.

I can try messaging her, or maybe someone with the right dump equipment (Maxim or Bock) can approach her?

DillyDylan has been doing a good job with this and sharing his finds, better not to have many people contact the same persons. Of course I'll assist with dumping or with anything else when needed.

Yes, I know, that it's why I wondered if it's better centralise these efforts. DillyDylan would be a perfect match, but he's not using Facebook, so that's why I was wondering who should contact her.
