SuperJet Spade's SMS/GG Music
Post Posted: Tue Apr 09, 2019 5:10 pm
I make music for a variety of systems, including the Master System and Game Gear. For the first song I'm sharing here, I decided to share my SMS cover of the BugBomber Theme originally composed by Chris Huelsbeck, which I covered back in February. BugBomber is a Bomberman-esque game from 1992 for the computer systems of the time (Amiga, C64, and MS-DOS). I based this cover off of the Amiga version. I think I'll use this space to share my Sega PSG covers and originals.

Also, I would post a YouTube link to this cover, but I'm a new user here, and I can see that new users aren't allowed to post links in order to prevent spammers and spambots from posting here.

I covered this song from Software Creations and Taito's version of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (because there was another version of the game made by NMS Software and published by Ubisoft). Song was originally composed by Tim Follin. I used the Game Gear's stereo panning for this cover.

This is my first ever original song I'm sharing here on SMS Power! It's a Master System song I made called Fruit Smoothie. Enjoy!

Well, it's almost 11 months since I last posted here, huh? Well, I got another Master System cover here. This song comes from the C64 version of Sly Spy Secret Agent, originally composed by Geoff Follin.

Really great work.

Anyway, I had to listen on real hardware (well, a Mega Drive) so couldn't help putting these in their own VGM-ROM.

Thanks again for sharing.

Woah, I didn't see this until now! Apologies for the late reply. I haven't had much interest in the Sega PSG these past several months, but thanks for making a ROM file of the songs I've shared here! Maybe I can listen to this on my Sega Genesis when time allows. I'm currently on a long hiatus from making music to sort out some personal things I've have had recently, but when I do get back to making music, I won't forget about the humble Sega PSG chip.
