They are, he participates in Monster Boy Music...
The Village music is at the credits, for instance.

He is a NPC in Monster Boy and by gathering pieces of music sheet you can bring them to him and unlock his tracks to play in the game village.
He originally made some of those covers a while ago for his youtube channel then the Monster Boy team asked if they could use them and he remade them (better polished version I guess) for the game.
