I have been trying to add Action replay codes to the ram editor in Meka with no luck.
Using Ninja Gaiden as an example 00DFC704 infinite lives I search for address DFC7 in the memory editor under ram once found I change the 2 digit number to 09 presumably giving me 9 lives but nothing happens I have also reset the emulator after making the change but still the same issue Im sure this is an user error, can someone please help me. |

No, that should work, but you might need to lose a life to see the effect.

I think I found out how to do it, but is there a way of locking that value in? When I enter an infinite life code it boosts my health right up but starts going down again so I have to keep re-entering it, is there a way of locking it in? |

No, Meka can't do that. | |

A possible option is to make simple trainer patches to the games in question. I had much fun doing it some time ago, and you can use MEKA's built-in cheat finder. Documentation, tips and tricks in this forum thread: http://www.smspower.org/forums/14235-CheatfinderHowToUseIt
Often it is enough to change a few bytes in the ROM. |

I'd say it's a pretty steep learning curve though.

I'd forgotten that - Meka.pat RAM patches are just like PAR codes, except hard to turn off.
