Arcade Classics is a compilation of 3 Atari arcade games. It includes Centipede, Pong, and Missile Command.
Thanks to the small screen of the Game Gear, it's sometimes hard to see what's going on. Most sprites are too small. Centipede is good. It plays similar to the original. Pong is, well, Pong obviously, but does feature a few different ways to play, although it really doesn't change much. Missile Command would be perfect if you could only see the line showing where your missile is headed. It's impossible to know if you did launch one until you see the explosion. So there you have it, 3 games that are not perfect arcade ports, and only 3 games, when there obviously could've been more, like Asteroids and Gravitar. If you find it for $5 or less, buy it. Otherwise, don't unless you're a collector. It's just not good enough to justify the price. 3 Stars |
