Thank you for your patch but please don't do modification of this kind, this is the GG2SMS Hack section not the Trainers one.

Btw, I never had any problem on real hardware with Gunstar Heroes using my french SMS 1 and a After Burner mapper.

Not working well

Chakan V0.1 GG2SMS:

- Palette conversion ok
- Start 2nd down arrow
- Graphical glitches while jumping
- Long bar down screen, (may causing problems)
- Game can crash if you cause a lot of glitches when jumping

Thank you for this conversions, I will look at them.
I don't have any bug with this games while jumping (edit: ok I see it on level 1 Chakan). Palette conversion doesn't seems to work when fading screen (edit: it's actually the same on the GG version).

I detected bug, I put code in Outi and then garbage is coming

It's hard to remap because 5 colors are individual, and if I recall palette routine then Outi is off and garbage on

:(

Sorry. I'm somewhat new around here. Still need to get used with the customs in this community. Since the trainer was intended to make this difficult game a bit easier to test, I thought it would be of no harm to include it in the patch for now.

Of course the trainer would be removed in the final version.

Fantastic! Thanks for this info I was able to guess and finally find the last pesky software protection, and now the game is running fine.

I'm doing some last touches. Does anybody know what are the controls for this game? The Megadrive version has three buttons: A=SELECT, B=SHOT and C=JUMP.

How's the SELECT action mapped in the Game Gear buttons? The manual is in Japanese, so I can't understand it.

@Bcn: This is a lot of garbage screen to delete... I don't know if you notice but the last few days I've been working hard on deleting garbage screen (on every title screen at least) and almost all conversion you've been posting lately are full of garbage screen...
Btw, you should be able to convert X-Men - Gamemaster's Legacy now (same palette routine than X-Men and Chakan).

@sd: Nice, for control in-game: start button is select if you press it normally, if you press start more than 1sec then it's pause. Would be nice to configure start on 1 on the menu and on Pause in-game.

I am working in adpting palette conversion to Shinning Force, Halley Wars, Phantasy Star Adventure, Greendog and more games with no palette "standard" programming.

1 Question: There's a possibility to make some alternative versions of these hacks that map the GG START button to the START button from the MEGA DRIVE/GENESIS controller like this patches:

Hello

Yes, It is possible, look at GG Aleste and Madoh Monogatari 1. Start is mapped to Genesis/Megadrive Controller

You can read Page 11, I am writing about it

Possible if rom is not full :)

Very few ROMs are full. It would be best if the Mega Drive pad compatibility was not at the cost of the Master System compatibility, but that requires a bit more effort.

Another game with problems, (really lot of them), ready for playing.

I need to deactivate blank down columns with VDP differences GameGear/MasterSystem, game looks nice ;)

I like James Pond games, now another full adventure
