Sega 8-bit summer of dumps Part 5: Super Bioman I, Super Boy I & 3, Super Arkanoid, Galaxian

More super magical Korean dumps today!

Super Bioman I (슈퍼바이오맨 I) for the Samsung Gam*Boy / Master System - another of odd clone based on Su*** Ma*** Br** 3. In typical version of those unlicensed clones, it appears on the surface to be a nice and complete package but the game-play of this one seems to have been engineered specifically to drive you mad from the first screen. GOD SPEED YOU!

Super Boy I (수퍼보이 I) for the Samsung Gam*Boy / Master System, first of the legendary Super Boy serie. This is using the same or a similar engine as Super Boy II but at least with different levels.

Super Boy III / Super Boy 3 for the Samsung Gam*Boy / Master System. Using a whole different engine and set of ripped artworks, this one happens to be the less incompetent game of the series. The odd tile based rendering of diagonal pipes gives it a unique charm.

How could it get more Super than that?
Well..

Super Arkanoid (슈퍼알카노이드) for the Samsung Gam*Boy / Master System. Stay calm and breath slowly - this is a hack of Woody Pop! However the good feature of this one is that the code has been modified to use a regular Controller instead of the analog Paddle Control used by the original. This is in essence the proper Master System version of the game with controls similar to the Game Gear version.

Final release of our odd collection for today, Galaxian (갤럭시안) for the Samsung Gam*Boy / Master System, an unlicensed version supposedly (to be confirmed) by our Korean friends from HiCom.

We hope you enjoy this selection of rare soft from Korea. Huge thanks goes to everybody who helped in the process of getting access to those games - they know who they are!

If Bioman could be hacked wIth better player movement, it could be a really cool game.

These dumps are fantastic, thanks so much.

I actually played through and beat Super Boy I, without savestates even. World 1-4 gets tricky, and 2-2 and 2-3 are annoying, but the rest of it is pretty easy once you adapt to the bizarro controls. Super Boy III will take more doing, though!

OMG Super Boy 1 is a pile of shit... and I can't stop having another go. The collision detection is HORRIFIC.....

Loving these obscure East Asian gems. Keep up the good work Bock!
