Here is a catalog of Sega in Greek language, mainly for MD but also includes SMS and GG stuff.
Total pages: 32

If you would like a translation of any part to English, I'm here to help you! Don't hesitate to ask me...

Added. They suffer a bit from over-compression, can you submit uncompressed files as well?

After scanning (jpg), I open them with ms paint (don't know photoshop well) to adjust the borders/outline and then save changes. After that I use FastStone photo resizer to adjust the dimensions. I suppose the problem arises while saving with paint in jpg format? It would be better to use bmp for editing, but I thought wouldn't create serious problem.

Unfortunately, I deleted the original scans and I don't own these games anymore to scan again. I only have them before resizing if it helps... e.g. Fire&Ice is 3170x2023 - 1,86MB

I've already done the same thing with a few more manuals... :(
Sorry, I should have uploaded a test-scan first. Would you prefer to don't upload the rest?

High-res originals will produce better results, if you can spare the time/bandwidth to send them. It's best to avoid JPG until the very end of the process, as it loses data every time you save; I recommend you use PNG if possible.

Can you reduce the JPEG compression setting? It is still rather damaging the images.

Could you use attachments on this forum?
Our attachments are not altered in any way so its a better solution to transmit files.

Ok, then I'll scan Star Wars manual again using PNG. Please wait for the new files.
But I can't do it for Buggy Run and Fire&Ice, as I don't have them anymore.

I used compression = 0, or was I too excessive..?
The PNG format is lossless (unlike the JPEG format which is lossy), meaning that the compression level doesn't alter the image quality at all. If your image editor does it right you can push the PNG compression to the maximum and the quality will still be the same. PNGOUT can be useful to achieve smaller filesizes but I don't want to confuse you with more steps.
For example, I can easily reduce your "scan0006t" from 4859832 bytes to 1825367 without even tweaking the PNGOUT parameters, I bet more kilobytes can be saved with a more accurate optimisation.

Thanks for the info Tom. I'll try to reduce the bytes of next scans with some compression.
Please forgive my mistakes and the probable bother I'm causing...

I've attached two more scans to be added:

Lion King, The (Disney's) (IT) (Il Re Leone)
Bank Panic (IT) (The Sega Card) - I know the box text is English, but the game was bought in Italy, and the manual is Italian as is the text on the back of the card.

Again, the quality isn't great, but my scanner is pretty poor so it's the best I can do for now.

Following on from my previous scans, could somebody please edit the title of The Jungle Book to include the Spanish title, El Libro de la Selva.

Can you try saving in PNG, and convert the images to greyscale where appropriate - it makes the quality a lot higher.

How about now? PNG + greyscale

I replaced the following:
Sonic 2 Korean
Star Wars TecToy
Sports Pad (this in case you want to update it)

Your scanner software has some filtering turned on - I see a "sharpen" filter and possibly some anti-moire filtering. If you turn that off, the results will be better.

I updated the Sports Pad scans, I'll try and get to the others soon. I also increased the per-image size limit.

Edit: Star Wars and Sonic 2 also added.

How can you be so professional? :)
There was a sharpen filter adjusted to "medium" which I turned it to "none".
I also untick the "automatically adjust exposure" or I shouldn't do that? Is the result fine for more scans?

Sharpening is easy to see - it makes edges seem sharper by making the light side lighter just before the edge and the dark side darker just after it. Here's a crop from the image you just posted, zoomed 6x:

Presuming the original isn't printed strangely, I'd expect to see it looking very two-colour here, but I see a light fringe inside the light part and a dark fringe just outside it. So it seems your scanner does sharpening even when it's turned off!

Thanks for the info Maxim. Now I can easily detect sharpening.

I tried a few times scanning it again, but unfortunately there's always sharpening.
It seems my HP Photosmart 3210 isn't that smart... :)

I'd be happy to do more scans, but please if you think I'm making trouble just tell me to stop...

Not at all - it's always better to have something than nothing. At the same time, while you are making a scan you may as well make the best scan you can, as it's a lot of effort.
