Hi All,

Thought I would join and share my solution, sorry to dig an old thread this was the first thread that described my issue.
I was having the same issue as described above and the 50/60hz made no difference( other then the normal speed and size).

Basically you need to switch the console from PAL to NTSC, to do this I used the details here gamesx*com/wiki/doku.php?id=av:sms2_av
Found the CXA1145P chip
Cut the grounding on the underside of pin 7
Soldered pin 7 to pin 12 - effectively setting it high at 5v
And that's it.

Nope didn't change anything like that.
It's pretty weird as my tv handles pal, NTSC 3.?? + NTSC 4.43. It's was as though the console and tv couldn't agree.

Image is as good as can be expected for comp vid in both 50 and 60 hz.
