I hold two copies of this here, and noticed that both box have a different plastic than other European games. Touching the transparent part has a different feeling.
Wondered if all copies were this way (probably).

Mine's the same - when held to the light to plastic is less glossy than the usual cover too.

Addenum: USA version World Grand Prix also uses the same kind of plastic. I'm holding one now and noticed that.

If it's the same kind of plastic that's on the Fantasy Zone prototype I traded you, then I've got that type of plastic on a few other early US releases: Alex Kidd, Wonder Boy, and Fantasy Zone.
I assume this is just the type of plastic sega was using very early on.
