Opa Opa Garage Kit
Post Posted: Wed Sep 29, 2004 5:59 pm
I just got a nice item. Unfortunately my camera is broken so I can't take a picture.

It's a square cardboard box, containing 7 unpainted white pieces to construct an Opa Opa model. It's about 7 cm long, 5 cm wide, 4 cm height. It's not one of those "plastic clippable pieces". Glu is required to construct, and obviously you would want to pain it.

The box says "Fantasy Zone - OPA OPA" "Marimo, 3000 Yens". The person I got it from call it a "Garage Kit".

Same kind of material, but it's not the same shape.
Mine looks bigger. There's no 16 tons, short legs and generally Opa Opa looks different.

I got it from someone in Japan. Those are not made by Sega / Sega Toys. I suspect that the company is making items based on various licenses/characters.

Much like the Gashapon mini Sega consoles released a few months ago. Not made by Sega, but probably done with their agreement.
