SMS 4-in-1 "pirate" cartridge
Post Posted: Fri Mar 12, 2004 6:52 pm
To Limbs a flyin': I cannot find your e-mail address.

Can you get a picture of your 4 in 1 cartridge?
There's a "M202" mark at the bottom of the label on mine. I wonder if yours has the same number (it could be a serial for this serie of cartridge) ?
What are the games again? (I'm sure it could find this one answer in the forum archives, but it's not practical to use - due to my fault :)

If anyone else owns a 4 in 1 "pirate" cartridge, I am interested in information as well.

the label is identical to that of the one on that auction, just the game titles are different and the number like you mention (too small to make out on the auction's picture)
i dont have a camera or anything like that as i have been a bit too poor to buy anything intresting for some time now :( when(if) i get the funds i'll do all sorts of scanning etc but that will have to wait.

the label says
BASKETBALL
TOM & JERRY SHINOBI
MICKEY MOUSE

mickeymouse is castle of illusion, and basketball is actualy captain silver, presumably the bigger non-usa version (you would expect them to use a complete 1MB rom rather than 896KB). the prescence of tom+jerry suggests a non-usa link also. i have never played through any capt silver game so im not %100 sure though, will have to do it one day

I had problem dumping this one. In fact, the cartridge itself is broken and do not work properly on a Master System.

I could various part of the cartridge, and it seems like the 4 games were the same as their retail counterpart (no modification). Switching games is done by powering the system off then on again, like with the "Master Games I" cartridge.

This week I found a boxed copy of the M205 4-in-1 bootleg.

The box is the typical bootleg style case, the same as the 4 Pak All Action except for the cart holding clips that keep the cart horizontal instead of vertical. Am I right in saying this is the first box that has shown up for any of these bootlegs? No manual although who knows if it should have one or not.

As previously reported the label is not correct and the order of the games is a little different too, mine goes Tom and Jerry -> Shinobi -> Captain Silver -> Castle of Illusion.

The back of the cart look similar to a normal Ozisoft cart with the warning text moulded into the plastic and it even has the "Ozisoft P/L" in the bottom-right corner. Also on the back of the cart is a sticker with a few game shop locations and phone numbers from South Africa which is weird.
