Everything we can imagine IDEAS POST

Today i've seen this image on Twitter and my brain started to think about it.

For example, seeing what @xfixium has done with Golden Axe, it would be great to make a beat em up hacking the Streets of Rage.

Is not the first time that I think in hacks or homebrew of known franchises and could be wornderful if this post can use in the future for that people that has the knowlegment and spirit to make them reality.

Let's contribute ideas, maybe in the future they will come true.

What game do you imagine on Master System?

Seeing the incredible variety of games that have been developed using KiddEd, I wonder ~ are there any other games that might have a similar editor developed for them that would be great foundational games for other genres? An editor for shmups, for example? If so, based on which existing game? An editor for racing games? Brawlers? Would there be any other platformers that could offer possibilities not already covered by KiddEd?

I think we could do some great mods of Wonder Boy III. I have an unfinished editor project for Micro Machines, although top down racers are a small genre. A shooter is likely very fixed on its enemy patterns and thus hard to add much variety?

Wonderboy III mods have the potential to be absolutely magical especially if development of a tool as fraction as excellent KiddEd was put together for it. From thoughtful redesigns and rebalancings, original and transplanted stories to Kaizo-hard adventures in hell.. I'd love to see what could come of such power handed to the community.

Seeing the already decent Light Phaser game library getting expanded with mods / tweaks / redesigns of existing titles (in addition to the super useful controller port 2 patches already available) would be another dream. I've never quite enjoyed using a light gun the way I do the SMS peripheral, so any further excuses to use it would be most welcome.

On a perhaps more grounded note Mega Drive controller compatibility patches allowing the use of the Start Button for Pause functionality would be nice for one or two more games too (Psycho Fox and Zillion come to mind).

I had thought to do a SMSpower! 'hack' of Micro Machines with portraits from members for this year's contest but I really don't have the time :(.
